Questions for commenting:
Are there organizations that do this now? Who are they?
What are the flaws in this general concept? What am I missing?

The Idea: Create an Organization with the following characteristics.

Vision:
To reduce violent conflicts worldwide by influencing the redirection of resources spent from post-conflict activities to pre-conflict activities.

Mission:
Play a vital global role in the early intervention and prevention of violent conflict by impartially providing reliable, easy to understand, data and predictions about the economic costs of conflict to those with the power to help manage conflicts at as early a conflict stage as possible.

Strategy:
  • Build a system and process for collecting and analyzing conflict and economic data
  • Create an easy to use interface for users to interact with the data
  • Become the best source for unbiased economic conflict cost data (historical and predictive)
  • Build a cost prediction process that is accurate, sustainable, and resilient
  • Promote the use of the data and predictions to influence the expenditure of resources in order to prevent, slow, and stop violent conflicts

Initial Strategy:

  1. Initial investigation - Share information and idea(s) with others - Gather ideas and perspectives
  2. Build an initial team of advisers
  3. Follow the direction provided by the advisers
